Meet Our New Members

These short bios include information about our newest branch members. Please greet them when you get a chance and ask about their various interests and backgrounds.

Kriste Cole

KRISTE COLE is originally from Oklahoma and graduated from South West Oklahoma University with a BA in Computer Science and an MBA in Business Administration. Although she lives in Fremont, she works in Morgan Hill where she is Director of Development for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley. She was Introduced to AAUW by Krisse Boursier and joined to get to know the Morgan Hill community and its residents better. She and her husband Troy, whom she met in high school, have lived in CA since 2014. They have a “spoiled puppy” that they adopted during the pandemic. She loves outdoor activities, as well as reading and traveling.

Cande Sifuentes

CANDE SIFUENTES immigrated from Mexico at age four; she is fluent in Spanish. She attended Saint Mary’s College of California and has a BA in Management. She works full time at Intuitive Surgical. She has four children, including 14 year-old twins. She is passionate about horticulture and loves the art and science of cultivating, growing plants, and harvesting fruits and vegetables in her “enchanted garden.” She says that she has had many mentors who have provided guidance and support that helped her pursue goals despite various life obstacles. She joined AAUW because she wants to pay it forward and hopes to empower other women. She learned about our branch through Tech Trek.
