Proposed Slate of Officers

SLATE OF OFFICERS FOR 2024-2025

The Nominating Committee presents the Slate of Officers proposed for the 2024 – 2025 year. It is also asking for any additional nominations “from the floor.” If you would like to be considered for an elected board position, please contact Janet McElroy, committee chair, by March 15 to be included in this process. Instructions for voting will be in the weekly email by April 1.

The nominating committee is composed of Janet McElroy, Joan Ensign, Chris Hopwood, and Barbara Palmer.

Krisse Boursier, President

Krisse Boursier is currently serving as branch President-Elect, working very closely with President Suman Ganapathy. Krisse joined AAUW in 2021 and quickly took on major responsibilities. She is Tech Trek coordinator, newsletter editor, and organizer of the Wildflower Run Finish Fest. She has also chaired Wine & Whine and been a Tech Trek dorm mom. Krisse represented AAUW MH in the Leadership Morgan Hill class of 2023. She is a retired MHUSD high school math and computer science teacher. She enjoys playing with the Ukuladies.

Harpreet Vittal, President-Elect

Harpreet Vittal grew up in India, worked in Singapore in marketing for Reuters, and before moving to Morgan Hill, she worked for the Saratoga School District in the Special Ed department. Harpreet participated in the 2022 Leadership Morgan Hill class and is currently on their board. She also serves on the city’s Parks and Recreation Commission. A member of AAUW MH since 2022, Harpreet chairs Community Action Grants and is on the WFR sponsor committee. She likes attending Wine &Whine, Morning Mingle and Arts Outings. 

Sheila Dunwoodie, Secretary

Sheila Dunwoodie has lived in Morgan Hill since 1985 and recently retired from her role as administrative assistant at Anritsu Company. She joined AAUW in 2022 after she met several members while volunteering with Friends of the Library, where she now serves as their board secretary. Sheila is working on the WFR sponsor committee and also is responsible for all the required Craven Act paperwork for the Run. She enjoys participating in the Afternoon Book Group, as well as going on Arts Outings.

Karen George, Treasurer

Karen George moved to Morgan Hill in March 2023 and quickly joined AAUW where she was happy to meet many intelligent and fun women. Originally from Southern California, Karen has lived in Arizona, Florida and Iowa. While in Florida, she worked for a Certified Public Accountant and became skilled in accounting work. When her husband retired from Iowa State University where he was a professor, they moved to Morgan Hill to be closer to their daughter. They were happy to leave the frigid Iowa winters! She likes attending Evening Book Group.
