President's Message

Dear Wonderful Members,

I am excited to share our recent branch accomplishments, thanks to your dedication and participation. And there are more activities and events to come.

We have once again achieved National AAUW 5-Star Recognition for our impactful mission-based work, one of just nine branches from over 1000. This would not have been possible without our collective efforts. Kudos and congratulations to each and every one of you!

Our sold-out Wildflower Run was a huge success. This unique single annual fundraiser engages the community and finances all our scholarships, grants, leadership and equity programs. Remember that you can still make a Wildflower Fund contribution!

Additionally, this newsletter issue details other recent branch events and activities–including the Young Women Leaders Leadership Conference, AAUW CA Lobby Days, Earth Day Festival, Tech Trek, NCCWSL, and the New Member Wine-&-Whine event– that will make you proud to belong to AAUW MH.

Join us for a range of upcoming events, including the Red Dress Exhibit, MHUSD-AAUW Collaboration on Curriculum, annual Spring luncheon, and summer retreat –  invaluable opportunities to connect and grow together, congratulate outstanding branch honorees, and welcome our fabulous new incoming board.

Your friendship, voice, passion, and expertise are invaluable. I encourage you to find at least one way to stay or become involved – in a committee, interest/action group, or as a branch leader. The day I joined this branch, I felt that I had received an extraordinary gift from the universe. I view my own transformative Morgan Hill journey as before-and-after-AAUW, and fervently wish the same for you.

Suman Ganapathy, President
