CEAC for a Fossil Free Future

2023 will be a busy year for AAUWs Climate Education and Action Committee (CEAC). With passage of the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ more rebates and tax credits will be available to upgrade homes to energy efficient places to live and do business. With that being the case, CEAC is taking on more education and action in the AAUW branch as well as the Morgan Hill community.

If you would like to get involved, or have a specific interest that you would like explored, please let us knowWe will be meeting the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 6:30pm at 17185 Rosemary Circle unless otherwise stated. Any change of location will be announced in the Sunday Email or contact climate@aauwmh.org.

Dates and Events:

January 11th – We will discuss ‘getting to zero emissions’ using information from Bill Gates’ “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster” and other sources.

January 25th – Meeting agenda to be determined.

February 28th – We are hosting AAUW’s program with NBC Bay Area’s star meteorologist Kari Hall and Monarch Butterfly Conservation Planner and AAUW member Maddy Kangas. The Young Women Leaders will be moderating the event.

April 22nd – Community Earth Day Festival.

Ongoing:

Working on issues that are important to the community specifically Morgan Hill’s CAP (Climate Action Plan).
