Race For a Cause

On March 31, 2019, the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will put on the 36th annual Wildflower Run, a popular 5k/10k Road race in Morgan Hill, California. The AAUW is a national organization that works toward equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research. Local philanthropy in support of this mission includes scholarships, community action grants, and leadership programs for women and girls.

Meet Ann Marie Cody

Joining the race this year is Ann Marie Cody, NASA astronomer, mom of triplets, and Guinness World Record holder for the “fastest marathon pushing a triple pram (female).” She will race the Wildflower 10k with her children in their stroller, in efforts to break a new Guinness record at that distance.

Ann Marie & AAUW Priorities

Ann Marie embraces AAUW’s priorities. As a PhD scientist working in the Silicon Valley, she understands the challenges of balancing work or education with raising a family. She also values AAUW’s focus on education and the scholarships and leadership programs the organization provides.
