President's Message
Happy New 2023-2024 AAUW Year
Dear Wonderful Branch Members,
Welcome to a brand-new year! I want to extend heartfelt thanks for your invaluable support and participation during 2022-2023. Thank you for the dedication, commitment and effort of our hardworking board members and branch leadership groups for making it exceptional and unforgettable. As we look toward the future, let us reflect on the past year to inspire us to recommit to our AAUW mission of gender equity and economic security.
Here are just a few of 2022-2023 highlights:
- A sold-out and successful 40th annual Wildflower Run
- Designated as a National AAUW 5-Star branch
- Received 2023 Morgan Hill Chamber Non-Profit of the Year Award
- Hosted four candidates’ forums
- Organized important Climate Education and DEI events
- Gave a record number of scholarships and grants
- Welcomed an impressive 32 new members
In May, we celebrated AAUW Fund honorees Sherrie Wren, Krisse Boursier, Bobbie Erb, and Virginia Turner (of the Saratoga branch) and installed the new officers during a potluck lunch at Tessie Albin’s beautiful home. Thank you Tessy and hospitality team, Margo Hinnenkamp and Karen McDonald, for a wonderful event.

New Year’s Goals
Our 2023-2024 goals will be set at the July 15 Board Retreat. All members are welcome to attend. Our strategic plan, along with the responses and suggestions made in the member feedback survey, will lead the way. Thank you for making your voice heard.
I encourage you to stay active and engaged this year. There are many ways to be involved. Together, we can continue to make an impact in our community, even as we nurture great friendships with one another. I have no doubt that we will make this year a remarkable one. See you at the 4th of July parade, our first event of the new year!
