We are happy to introduce our newest members – one who has returned, and two brand new to our branch.

Cindy Adams has a BA from San Jose State, an AA degree in Business Administration, and is a certified Sommelier. Many years ago Cindy joined AAUW MH at the urging of her friend and long time branch member, Maggie Leininger. Her membership lapsed. She recently retired and decided to rejoin. She is a tasting room associate on weekends and volunteers at the Santa Clara County Animal Shelter.

Alissa Crispin holds a BA in History and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction. She is passionate about building community and looks forward to participating in the social and service activities offered in our branch. She has served on the Santa Clara County Commission on the status of women. She is particularly interested in working toward equity in education, and women’s and girls’ rights.

Maddy Kangas learned about AAUW when one of her lab mates at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana was awarded a research scholarship from AAUW. When she moved from Illinois a year ago she attended the recent Earth Day event sponsored by our branch and and didn’t hesitate to join. Her MS is Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences. She works for Xerces/USDA-NRCS as a Monarch Butterfly Conservation Planner. She is always looking for her next backpacking adventure!
