Join us as we march in Morgan Hill’s annual 4th of July Parade! AAUW Morgan Hill and AAUW Gilroy members will be joined by Scholarship recipients, Tech Trek participants, Young Women Leaders, Speech Trek participants, and other community members we have engaged with in our activities. We have lots of room for those who prefer to ride on our trailer… just show up!
Our “uniform” will be red shirts and white shorts, pants, or skirts. If you have a red AAUW or Wildflower Run shirt, wear that (or we have extras that we can provide when you arrive at our float) Our float’s theme will be “Our Amazing Women Heroes,” with posters representing them. We will also use this opportunity to promote the 2022 Wildflower Run, scheduled for March 27, 2022.
We are float #65. We will be staged starting near Britton Middle School on Monterey between Dunne and Cochrane. (Look for our trailer or ask a volunteer where we can be found.) To drive close to the staging area, note that traffic will be routed down Cochrane to Monterey and closed off at the start of the route (Dunne and Monterey). Plan to arrive between 8:30 and 9:00. The parade will start at 10:00 am.
