2026 AAUW Honorees

Sandy Stoob
Sandy Stoob joined AAUW in 1989. Over the years, she has served in a variety of positions, including public policy chair and secretary, and always helps with the Wildflower Run. She has done Run publicity, designed a course, chaired 10K tally (before chip timing) and was in charge of the 2K. For many years now, she has chaired or co-chaired the critical, often stressful, job of WFR registrations.
Our honoree is also branch web manager, which she has handled for more than five years, often doing that job without most of us even noticing.
She was a founding member of Evening Books, participates in Read the World, and a meditation group.
Most recently, she has taken on the additional work of branch archivist: scanning old photos, searching for flyers for past programs, and compiling lists of branch leadership, working to make sure that branch history is fully documented as we look towards our 50th anniversary in 2031.

Krisse Boursier with Carol Ferri
Carol Ferri has been a branch member for only for three years, but upon joining, she immediately became involved, volunteering to help with important branch activities.
A retired teacher, she served for two years as an advisor for Young Women Leaders, where she developed great relationships with the students and helped them secure grant funding.
She also assisted with the Wildflower Run 2K and then took over the following year. Following that, she became co-director for the 2026 Run, one of the most time-consuming branch responsibilities, where she made a major contribution to another very successful event.Â
She has also served on the Leadership Development and Tech Trek committees. All this in only three years!
