Meet Our New Members

Jane Chipman has lived in Morgan Hill for 30 years, after relocating here from New Hampshire with her husband. She is a former local business owner and currently sells antiques along the coast and organizes social groups. Jane loves to cook, garden and travel, and is interested in birdkeeping and interior design. She joined AAUW to meet women with similar interests and make new friends.

Charlie Kahn-Lomax has lived in Morgan Hill for 20 years, though her family lives in Solano and Contra Costa counties. She has recently retired from teaching Women’s and Ethnic studies at Evergreen College for over 25 years, and is a past member of AAUW San Jose. Charlie loves to read and travel. She is looking forward to learning to play Mahjong and helping to promote educational opportunities for girls.

Kimberly Leiser is a former real estate broker, recently retired. She has lived in Morgan Hill for 30 years and was finally convinced by friends to join AAUW. She is already quite active in the Morgan Hill community working with parks, wildlife, kids’ activities, and downtown flower boxes. By joining AAUW, Kimberly hopes to expand her community outreach into new areas benefiting women and girls.

Debby Narcisso lives in south San Jose and has friends in AAUW Morgan Hill who recruited her to join. She is recently retired from dentistry – 50 years of working in all aspects: from patients to public health concerns. In addition to her family and animals, Debby’s passion is promoting higher education for women and supporting women’s rights. She wants to be a part of AAUW to volunteer and be of service.

Elizabeth Aleman Sanidad, originally from Mexico, has lived in Morgan Hill for 10 years and is a full time Aviation Mechanics Instructor at Gavilan College. She had attended this same program to start a new career and is currently working on a bachelor’s in Aviation Management. Even though work and family keep her busy, she recently decided to join AAUW and become more involved in community service.

Meenu Vaid and her family moved to Morgan Hill in 2012. She is a physician with a small local practice for addiction medicine and wellness coaching; she is also the medical director for the Monterey County Jail. Meenu is married to another physician and has three school-age children. She fully supports our mission of education and empowerment for women and girls, and looks forward to meeting women with similar goals.
