Jackie Shelley

Please welcome Jackie Shelley to our branch!  Jackie is from Texas originally, but has lived in Morgan Hill for eight years. She has two children, a grown son and a younger daughter.  Jackie is a very creative person, she paints, draws, and writes –  she says she’s had lots of past lives and loves to change things up every so often.  Jackie has a BA in literature from UC Santa Cruz, and an MA in English literature from San Jose State.  She is excited to be with a group of like-minded women with different interests, and is looking forward to giving back to our community.

Julie Schwartz

Please welcome Julie Schwartz to our branch!  Julie recently moved to Morgan Hill to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Before that she lived in the mountains of Colorado; New Orleans, LA; Wilmington, DE; and Washington, D.C.  She enjoys reading, writing, hiking, attending live theater and spending time with friends and family. Julie joined at our recent Wildflower Run, where she saw firsthand AAUW’s reach within our local community.  She’s looking forward to joining some of our special interest groups and becoming an integral part of Morgan Hill.  Julie has a BA from Duke, and a JD from Georgetown in Washington, D.C. 

Karie Marlin

Please welcome Karie Marlin to our branch!  Karie was born and raised in the Bay Area and has lived in Morgan Hill for eight years, on a little hobby farm off Watsonville Road.  She has been married to her husband Jonathan for 14 years, and they have three girls together: Hannah (12), Willa (9), and Millie (7).  Karie is a licensed marriage and family therapist, with a BA in psychology from UC Santa Cruz, and an MA in family therapy from John F. Kennedy University.  She enjoys astronomy, pottery, and travel. Karie’s daughter Hannah will be participating in Tech Trek this year.
