AAUW Community Action Grants are supported by individual and corporate donations to the Wildflower Fund and by proceeds from the Wildflower Run.

BookSmart Community Advantage has purchased 125 books to be distributed to local school children through its Gift of Reading campaign.
Britton Middle School plans to purchase 50 FolletBoundbooks to help update their library.
Climate Education Action Committee is working with the Farmer’s Market on a new initiative to reduce and eliminate single-use plastic bags.
Empower & Excel’s grant will support academic enrichment programs for underserved children (Pre- K to 12) by supplying STEAM kits for tutoring sessions.
BookSmart Community Advantage – Gift of Reading Volunteers
Martin Murphy Middle School will purchase three new Chromebooks for its computer programming club to help students increase the speed at which they learn.
PA Walsh Girl’s Running Club is focused on preparing for the 5K in the 2025 Wildflower and will use its grant to cover the cost of registration, workout shirts, and water bottles.
Sobrato Girl’s Field Hockey Team plans to upgrade essential gear, including new hockey sticks, gloves, practice balls, and goalkeeper equipment.
PA Walsh Mini-Mermaids Running Club
South Valley Civic Theater will be able to pay for costumes and stage needs for the teen production of the musical Mean Girls.
South Valley Science & Engineering Initiative’s grant will help keep the 2025 Explore STEAM Fair free to the public and allow for hand-on activities for attendees.
Susan & Charles Berghoff Foundation intends to use its grant to cover the cost of translating its newest film project, What is Lewy?, into Spanish
