41st Wildflower Run
The 2024 WFR T-shirt design
The 2024 Wildflower Run has already started putting plans into action with the completion of the T-shirt design contest.
There will be a new event in 2024: a non-competitive, all-inclusive 2K Fun Run designed for families, seniors and disability-challenged participants. Taking place on the Live Oak High School track, it features finisher ribbons and medals and a large clock for self-timing.
Although everything seems to cost more now, our pricing remains the same with discounts available for groups and families. Online registration opens November 15, 2023. Bookmark our main page for quick reference, Wildflower Run website.
After a sold-out 2023 event, proceeds have been allocated locally and nationally to support scholarships, grants, and other AAUW mission-based programs. Please let friends and family know about the run and the AAUW missions it supports.
We need help from all members to make the run a success, whether you are volunteering on race day or orchestrating an essential behind-the-scenes job. Presently, positions are available as T-shirt chair, on the sponsorship and entertainment committees, and more. To get involved, contact co-directors, Joy Safakish and Bobbie Erb, to discuss options. Our first meeting is November 16, 2023.
Social media plays a big part of promoting the run. Post run announcements to your favorite media spots and re-post announcements sent out by our social media chair.

Our strongest resources are the AAUW volunteers and community members who pitch in each year. The 2024 run will be a result of meticulous planning, creative teamwork and relentless dedication from our volunteers.
Read about Wildflower History , how the run started in 1984, and how it has grown. We hope you can join us as we add another chapter.
