All Member Meet-Up

Second Annual ALL Member Meet-Up

On Aug. 28, the San Martin Lions Club transformed into a hub of friendship, learning, and celebration for our branch’s 2nd Annual All-Member-Meet-Up – our only general meeting of the year. Seventy-seven members filled the room with warmth, energy, and enthusiasm, while a delicious potluck of food and drinks created the perfect setting for reconnecting, networking, and laughter.

Organized by the Leadership Development Team with the Membership and Hospitality Committees – and emceed by President Krisse Boursier – a fun icebreaker invited everyone to share their names, length of membership, favourite branch event or program, and one childhood lesson they’re grateful for – sparking lively conversation and genuine connection at every table.

Inspirational and informative presentations followed spotlighting AAUW’s mission, goals, and programs at the national, state, and branch levels. Members met elected and appointed board members and committee chairs, and learned about key activities such as the Wildflower Run, Young Women Leaders, Community Action Grants, Scholarships, Tech Trek, and more.

This year’s event also combined the Branch Showcase, featuring tables for committees and interest groups, with a comprehensive picture of the many ways to get involved. Thank you to all who signed up for volunteer opportunities. Your enthusiasm keeps our branch thriving!

The pièce de resistance was Krisse leading a surprise ukulele flash mob with the Ukeladies Interest Group, leaving everyone smiling and singing along.

The Meet-Up was a joyful celebration of our community spirit, creativity, and collective impact—setting the perfect tone for an inspiring 2025-2026 year ahead.
