Dues Increase
Voting on the AAUW Morgan Hill branch dues increase closed at midnight March 17, with 96 of our members voting (about 47 percent of our members) and 87 voting for the increase – well above the two-thirds threshold that was required. As a result, starting on June 1 our branch dues will be $43.
Thank you for supporting our branch as we continue the important work to advance equity and education for women and girls. Membership dues fund our branch’s operational expenses, including meeting space rentals, storage costs, and hospitality needs. Separately, our Wildflower Fund — supported by proceeds from the Wildflower Run and member donations — directly funds our scholarships and grants. Both accounts play a vital role in enabling the meaningful work we do.
Please keep in mind that the dues for AAUW National increased April 1, from $72 to $74. And you will be receiving a ballot in May from AAUW California with a measure to increase our California state fee from $20 to $30 effective July 1. For more information on this ballot measure, click HERE.
Here is a timeline of renewal dues.
This will change July 1 if the California state dues increase passes.
