An AAUW member since 2018, Heather aims to deepen her understanding of Morgan Hill’s operations through the Leadership program to enhance her volunteer efforts. She has already been actively involved with several community organizations: Boy Scouts, Charter School, CERT, and Freedom Fest. For the AAUW Wildflower Run, she took on the responsibility of Parking and improved its safely by recruiting the assistance of  Boy Scouts and CERT leaders. She also was on the Tech Trek and Speech Trek committees.

Heather is eager to deepen her understanding of regional government, focusing on health and human services and public safety. She wants to identify connections between public institutions and nonprofits to help her advocate for Morgan Hill and potentially develop new programs and partnerships. She would also like to revive AAUW’s Speech Trek and mentor students in public speaking.
