Morgan Hill Meets Milan
Lake Maggiore, Stresa, Italy
Tammy Parker and her husband Ray joined the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce trip to Italy in April. Starting in Milan, with spring fashion season in bloom, they toured the city before departing for the Lake Region and Lake Maggiore. In addition to enjoying beautiful scenery and wonderful food and wine, they visited Palazzo Borromeo, a 14th century building, and the Hemingway Bar. Now a 5-star hotel, the bar is the site of Hemingway’s recuperation after his WW I injury and mentioned in his famous novel “A Farewell to Arms.” Another highlight was Treviso, with a visit to the Fasol Menin winery to taste their prosecco. After the Chamber tour ended, Tammy and Ray extended their trip with visits to Florence and Rome for a memorable 16-day adventure.
