AAUW Morgan Hill Initiatives to Celebrate 100 Years of Women’s Right to Vote

Educate-Inspire-Engage VOTE

Announcing the six initiatives AAUW MH is planning to celebrate 100 Years of Women’s Right to Vote

More volunteers are needed for each of the following committees. Please consider joining to make the 100 years celebration a success.

Six Projects— The Big Picture

1. 2020 Women’s Centennial Trail: Have 20+ Trail Markers located in Morgan Hill. Start August 15 through 31 or through September.
2. Parade (by walk or car) on Wednesday August 26. We want to supplement, not compromise, the Women’s Week (WW) events that begin at 7PM.
3. Downtown “Colors of Celebration” with Flags or Buntings. August 15-31 or more.
4. Posters Everywhere—all our WFR spots with our message and to promo these three celebration events:
WW Tuesday night zoom program with Educators, Parade through Downtown on 8/26 and 2020 Women’s Centennial Trail and contest.
5. Lasting donation of Park Bench in MH to Honor the first woman Mayor Virginia May Days. Engraved plaque on bench or on a created stone next to bench.
6. WW Zoom Educator’s Program- Tuesday night sponsorship. 7PM event with Chamber
